Degree 360 Band to join Orange Carnival

The cultural heritage of different Akwa Ibom tribes will be showcased through the costume designs for Orange Carnival Bands; all bands are to wear costumes that pass messages that will stick to the mind.

Team Degree 360 Magazine has decided to take up a band for their participation in Orange Carnival. According to Uko Etuk-Publisher of Degree 360 Magazine, ‘ we have decided not just to be a Media Partner like we have remained over the years, we want to go a step further by identifying with the Orange Carnival vision, and celebrating Akwa Ibom State Anniversary which is where we do our business. Aside publishing, Degree 360 Magazine offers Media Consultancy services, Image Branding, Event Management. The costumes to be worn will also be related to a profession- e.g. – groups dressed in attires related to professions like Doctors, Lawyers, and/or Engineers. Costumes can also relate with recent news, e.g. - the bird flu epidemic (dressed as chickens). The feeling of this Carnival is the sharp criticism, the funny play on words and the imaginations in the costumes, more than the glamorous dressings. Masks will be readily available by Garneti, and it is traditional to paint faces.
